Dream Fencing Club was started on 15^th September 2010 by fencers and friends with great assistance from the Hammersmith and Fulham council.

The Community Sports Coordinator, Paul Smith, helped with the legal side, the paperwork and finding our first venue – the old Sands End Community Centre on Broughton Road in Fulham.

15^th September 2010  was also our first club session with our first members, Muhammed and Ibraheem Farnsworth and Sara Nabli. 

In June 2011 the borough council decided to sell Sands End Community Centre. Dream Fencing Club moved to Langford Primary school, to St Michael’s Children’s Centre, and from the 3^rd October 2011 to Hurlingham Academy. From 24^th October 2022 we moved to our home the new Sands End Community Centre.

On the 20^th November 2011, Dream Fencing Kent opened at Medway Park in Gillingham, with our first session with the South East Region Modern Pentathlon. The branch became one of Kent’s biggest fencing clubs, with 6-7 teams from our club entering competitions, with most of our Kent members adults and Pentathletes. Unfortunately, in 2018 due to issues with the venue, Dream Fencing Kent had to close. 

On the 18^th November 2011 we had our first session at Caterham school. Due to the great cooperation with Caterham school, and our close work with Mr. Andrew Patterson, the co-ordinator of clubs, the club is still running with strong fencers competing at a national level.

In 2014 coach Yarolsav Ponomarenko joined the club. With top international results as a fencer – 2^nd World Championships, 2^nd European Championship, winner of World cups and National Champion of Ukraine.

In 2015 we had Alex Lilov join our club. Having started at the Etropolski Fencing Academy, Bulgaria, Alex has worked closely with our epeeists and sabreurs.

Zak Wheeler joined our club in early 2019, having coached epee around East Anglia and the South East.

In 2022 Fessal MOHAMADOU, an epee coach who use to be a part of the French Cadet and Junior national team, completed the current Dream coaching team.
